With the lightweight Aero Carbon handlebar stem unit by Black Inc, your Factor OSTRO V.A.M. – whether road or gravel – gets an integrated cockpit that is not only extremely aerodynamic, but also extremely ergonomic. The flattened upper handlebar cuts through the airstream and also offers you a wide palm rest. You have the option of many different hand positions and sitting postures. Attention was paid to a natural wrist angle to increase comfort while riding. The mounting position for the shift/brake levers brings you about 5 mm closer to your bike than is the case with conventional handlebars. You also have the option of adopting a semi-aerodynamic riding posture by positioning your hands on the hoods and resting your forearms on the upper handlebars. The lower link is particularly streamlined, with a 7° flare that offers you a lot of safety when steering. Even on gravel sections you keep control of your bike. Internal cable routing, which also contributes to the high aerodynamics, ensures a tidy cockpit. Below the handlebar stem unit is a mounting option for attaching bike computers or other accessories such as lights or GoPros. Elegantly integrated, this is hardly noticeable and maintains the aerodynamic characteristics of your cockpit.
